RISK PURCHASING GROUPS (RPGs)
Health Facilities Risk Purchasing Group, LLC and Healthcare Providers Risk Purchasing Group, LLC were formed by Vaaler Insurance, in partnership with Coverys, to provide it’s members with an opportunity to share in favorable group loss results. These groups were created with the intent to help off‐set the growing liability premiums that health care facilities experience in today’s insurance marketplace.
Each participant maintains their own coverage form and policy limits, and no member’s coverage is affected by any other members’ claims. A health care facility can leave the group at any time, without any financial penalty. The RPG participants are not shareholders of the LLC and do not incur any liability from the operations of the LLC, only its benefits. Thus, there are no capital contributions that are needed from the RPG participant members, the only financial commitment is a $100 membership fee that is collected annually.
